01 / MAKE IT EASY TO ANSWER
Say when. Say how you play.
A useful looking-for-group (LFG) post gives someone enough information to decide whether they can join. Include your platform, region, an actual date and time with a timezone, cross-play preference, and whether you want a casual or competitive session. Mention voice-chat expectations and roughly how long you can stay.
A date and timezone matter: “tonight at eight” can mean different things to different people. For example, use “Saturday 24 October, 20:00–22:00 UK time” and check the date before reusing the template.
A message you can adapt
Looking for a BF6 squad Date + time: [day, date, start–end, timezone] Platform: [PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S] Region: [your region] Cross-play: [on / same-platform preferred] Style + mode: [casual/competitive, preferred mode] Voice: [mic / listening / text] Spaces: [how many you’re looking for] Reply here if that works for you.

02 / USE THE RIGHT ROUTE
Pick your next move in the Hub
These tools are inside the BF6 Community Hub. Existing members can use the links below; new members should join and follow the start guide first.
- Playing soon? Use the Tonight board to share your availability and see possible overlaps. Confirm the plan with the other player; a listing is not a guaranteed squad.
- New and unsure where to begin? Open Find my first squad and ask for a welcome. Pairing needs both players’ agreement.
- Want familiar teammates? Browse regular groups in Find a squad. Look for a compatible time and style, then ask to join. The host confirms your place.
- Prefer a planned session? Check community events. Read the requirements and request a Going roster place. A native Discord Interested click is separate; check whether you are confirmed or waiting.
You choose whether to request optional DM alerts. Opening the guide or joining the server does not subscribe you.
03 / CHECK THE FIT
Different platforms? Plan ahead.
Battlefield 6 supports cross-play across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Check the group’s cross-play preferences before arranging a mixed-platform session.
Use EA Connect’s player search to find the other player by their EA or platform ID. After the friend request is accepted, use the party controls to invite them. Share gaming IDs only where you are comfortable doing so.
For current settings and platform instructions, use EA’s official BF6 cross-play guide. Cross-play support does not guarantee that a particular community group has space or matching settings.
04 / TURN A REPLY INTO A GAME
Agree the next step
- Confirm who is joining, the start time and how long everyone expects to play.
- Agree where to meet in Discord and who will invite the party in-game.
- Check the game mode, cross-play preferences and voice-chat expectations.
- If plans change, update your availability or tell the organiser. Release a roster place you can no longer use.
- After playing, ask whether people would like another session. A one-off game does not commit anyone to a regular group.
05 / KEEP IT LOW PRESSURE
If nobody replies
Try a wider time window, a different day or a scheduled session. Check that your date, timezone and platform are clear. You can also ask for a first-squad welcome.
A quiet board does not mean you did something wrong. Avoid repeatedly pinging people or sending unsolicited DMs. If a tool fails, report what you clicked and what happened through the support route in the start guide; keep personal information out of screenshots.
